Kent Macpherson was born in New Zealand in 1967.
He completed his post graduate studies in contemporary
music technology at Latrobe University, Melbourne,
Australia (Where he now lives) in 1994.
He plays a variety of instruments including: Bass,
Guitar, Saz, Sitar, Keyboards, Mandolin, Zither,
Cavaquinho, Irish Bouzouki, Mandola, Quatro, Melodica
and Banjo.
He performs live occasionally as Burning Giraffe
and as a member of experimental electronic duo Legs
For Fish. He is a former member of Japanese pop
rock group Che and a current member of post folk
quartet Svartisen. To find out more about his recorded

completed studies in Screen Music at The Australian
Film Television and Radio School in Melbourne in
2009.
Since
2001 he has had in excess of 150 works published
by 5 production music houses in Australia and the
United Kingdom. This work has been used on television
and radio hundreds of times. Since 2005 he has been
emerging as a composer and sound designer for a
handful of short films, featurettes and documentaries. |
